Some of you faithful blog followers will actually know when this little chickie's birthday is...shhh...don't tell anyone how far behind I actually am!! 

Well, I finally convinced her that we really needed to take some 5 year photos and boy did we have fun...she has personality oozing out of her!  Here are some of my favorites....

This one is in the running for my favorite sister picture of them EVER...though there are several from when the littlest was tiny that are very sweet...but I just LOVE the closeness, the hand holding, the squeezed closed eyes....I'm sure she is thinking about how much she worships her big sister...it's actually making me a little teary right now...

Lest you think I would end on such a sappy note, I saved the best for last....

Let the Voting Begin....

Okey dokey, I've been playing around again (it's what I do when I am avoiding something, you know) and I changed up the blog banner again....do you remember the other one?

 

Skinnier....little different logo thingy...can't decide which I like better so I say you people who have to look at it should vote!  Perhaps there should even be a prize for participating??  Let's say that Friday one of my little minions will pick a random number and the winning commenter will get a $5 Starbucks card in the mail...unless you are someone I see regularly and then your next treaty is on me!

(This is how indecisive I am...just looking at the old one in this post makes me think I might like it better....but that's only because I can't see the new one right now!  HELP!!)

Yay me!

I actually finished my annual business taxes for 2008 this morning!  (OK, I'm adding this so that you will all be clear...NOT my personal taxes....my business taxes, due on Jan. 31st...just in the nick of time....don't be overly impressed and think that I am organized enough to be done with or have even thought about my personal taxes!)  You wonder, what could possibly make doing taxes more enjoyable?  Taking pictures of them, of course, silly billy!  Sadly, the shedding of tears, the tearing of hair and the rending of garments could not be captured so you'll have to use your imagination....anyway, my morning in a nutshell......

I went for the black & white versions to highlight my angst & misery....the color ones were all pretty light and light blue coffee cup...not quite echoing the mood of the moment! (I may have to make myself a mug with a Mr.Yuk face on it for just this type of occasion!) Bet you all are glad not to be here this morning!

Another "One" Bites the Dust

Happy birthday little dude!  And congratulations to his parents on surviving the first year...somewhat trying in the best of circumstances and even a little more so for you guys.  It's been so fun watching you guys become parents....and good ones at that!  He is turning into such a funny little man.  Can't wait for the big party!  Anyway, here are a few shots we attempted last time he was visiting in order to commemorate the big milestone....

Love this one in color....such blue eyes, but also in the black & white....hmmmm, I'm torn....

So we brought in a few entertainers (you'll see them soon!) and I love his expression...."Hey guys, what are you doing?" and of course, I love a little profile action....

I love a little mischief in him...."who me climb on top of something?"

And finally, in an attempt to get him to hold still for a minute we resort to the "sandwich" technique that I have had much success with before. Not this time...my "bread" wasn't strong enough to hold a good man down! This one cracks me up!

Sorry to have been such a slacker blogger this week....but hey I did try a little something new in the header...what do you think? I'm wondering if it needs to be bigger? Well, I hope it's sunny wherever you are today! Go get yourself some vitamin D!

Funny Man

We were just goofing around the other day and here's what happened....

Think this one is his dad's favorite...he looks like such a big boy!

This is his new sign for "more" or maybe "give it to me now" or "I want it"...he opens and closes his hands over and over! Too funny!

And this is what he looks like after EVERY shot...he wants to see himself on the back of the camera....smart boy...he knows how cute he is! Happy Friday!

Sweet Little Man

I met this little man over the weekend and what a doll!  He has the total package....beautiful eyes, perfect cheeks, and hair to die for!  Not only that, his mom made some spectacular fashion choices, argyle (be still my beating heart!) and wait til you see the hand knit hat and matching socks (not that I like hats or anything!). 

Couldn't you just eat him up? And to top it all off, he is such a mellow guy. He totally tolerated me and my camera in his face, though I think he was pretty suspicious of the whole deal at the beginning....check out these fabulous raised eyebrows!

Perfection Revisited

Remember this doll?  Remember how he was an angel for me and slept the whole time I was manhandling him?   Well, now he is a whopping one month old...and even better than that, he came over to hang out with me the other day and we snapped a few photos (of course!) to mark the occasion.  Guess what?  This time you get to see his beautiful blue eyes!!  Enjoy!

Then I cast my sleeping baby spell and he let me try out this blanket that I love!

Oh my does he have his brother's cheeks!!

Just love the whole cocoon thing! I wish someone would wrap me up and let me sleep all day!

A Bushel and a Peck and a Hug Around the Neck

(My mom and sister are singing right now...don't feel bad if you don't know this song, you have to be a HUGE singing geek to know it....ok, now don't feel bad if you DO know it...it just means you belong in our family and didn't know it!)

Alright, enough blathering on....I saw all the Valentine's Day stuff getting set up in the stores today and it planted a little seed in my brain....
