So here we are, all the way to the third day of school. It feels so familiar, and yet this year, a lot is different. There is now a middle-schooler in our midst. Craziest part of that (or at least the most noticeable for this week) is that he has to be on the bus by 7:10. Yikes! That means a lot earlier morning around here. Here's how he feels about me taking his "back to school" picture....
and here's what you get when you nag a little....
The other BIG change at our house is that EVERYONE now goes to school ALL day. I'm not quite sure how all that will play out in the big picture but soon you will see some evidence of a few of my little house projects that are getting finished. Anyway, here are the girlies on their first days of 4th and 1st grade...
(For those of my faithful blog readers and big fans of Miss M, you will appreciate that the fashionista chose to get a uniform as one of her new school outfits. You know, some mornings it's just too much to get your outfit "just right" for the day and your mood. Problem solved.)
Guess who was the most excited to get to school? Not only is she in class with some of her very favorite people, but she is absolutely in LOVE with her new teacher.
Perhaps you get a sense of the emotions? A little apprehension and some serious excitement.
Happy back to school days!!
They are all so BIG! Boo hoo.

Great pictures that help keep me feeling in touch, since I don't get to see them in person as often as I'd like. Loved going to the parks with them!!!

Chris says miss M's caption should read, "Are you kidding me?" ; )
I hope school is going well. Thank goodness for recess, huh?!
